Coronary revascularization surgery has seen a marked decline in recent years with the advent of the ?stent era?, which has brought about a considerable reduction in the number of surgical interventions carried out and in the experience of many surgeons. Meanwhile, new concepts, techniques and technology have come up, but have not been introduced, in many cases due to the lack of patients or because the field has been mistakenly considered lost in the medium term.
This symposium will show all the advances developed in recent years in coronary surgery, with the aim of updating those surgeons who consider that coronary revascularization surgery can offer more benefits in both the medium and long term than other therapeutic alternatives, through the presentation of the experiences of surgeons and groups who have developed new concepts and techniques in coronary surgery.
The choice of venue was made so that the meeting will take place in a climate of fluid communication and the sharing of experiences in a professional, but relaxed manner, so that there be no doubt about the answer to the question posed in the title "Coronary Surgery ? Updating or Renouncement?"
