Last April 26th in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Last April 26th, Santa Cruz de Tenerife hosted the I Forum on the Humanization of Medicine, organized by the Medical Association of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Canary Institute of Humanitarian Sciences.

The main aim of the Forum was to debate and to search for ways to avoid the progressive introduction of modern technology in medicine affecting the relationship between medical professionals and the patient.

Dr Emilio J. Sanz, Director of the Master in Bioethics at the University of La Laguna, was responsible for the conference, while Abel Roman, President of the Canary Institute of Humanitarian Sciences, was moderator. Among the attendees were prominent figures of both the public and private health sectors, with various members of the HOSPITEN Group representing the latter.
