Estepona: Last Wednesday, May 11 at 18.30, Hospiten pediatricians, Dr Jose Moreno Garcia and DR Daniel Jait Schwarts, gave a talk at the Centro Infantil San Lorenzo de Estepona on "New Childhood Vaccinations"

Vaccination against infectious diseases is fundamental from an early age. To facilitate the task, the Spanish Pediatrics Society Vaccine Advisory Board  has drawn up a vaccination calendar on which the dose to be administered and at which age are detailed. Each Autonomous Region includes the vaccines they will cover the cost of on their calendar.

The pediatricians explained to parents in attendance the importance of the baby or child deing protected from all diseases that can by prevented by the vaccination program. In particular, they informed the parents of the latest news on vaccines against pneumococcus and chicken pox.

They also spoke about the importance of protecting children from diseases that can cause serious complications and that disrupt the normal routines of children and their families, in addition to the indirect social, labor and medical costs.
